This special Portland Design Month event brings together a mixtape’s worth of Latino creatives to talk about the places, people, objects, and visual culture that shaped the way they see — and what they make.
Across four fast-moving segments, we’ll look at the images that shaped them, the things they’ve borrowed from home, the visual cultures of different regions, and the clichés they’d happily retire forever.
It’s one part panel + one part show-and-tell — and very intentionally not one single version of what Latino design is supposed to look like.
